Applied Cloud: Peace of mind and productivity without the on-premises system

Because Burns Insurance has a number of rural locations across Wyoming and Montana, a cloud-based management system was essential to keep operations connected. Burns Insurance leverages Applied Cloud for enhanced data security, trusting Applied resources to provide top-level security. “Applied Cloud provides optimal security, and we know we can trust it,” said McIntyre. “We worry much less about a data breach – Applied handles that.” All databases stored in Applied Cloud leverage AES-256 data-at-rest-encryption (DARE) and are protected by a minimum of 128-bit, bi-directional, packet-level encryption. Applied Cloud Services manage all maintenance and upgrades during off business hours, minimizing business disruption.

The agency has hired less people as they continue to grow at the same pace because of Applied Epic. “We haven’t had to hire anyone else for system administration since launching Applied Epic,” said McIntyre. “Previously, we had 16 offices with many people doing things several different ways, and today we have standardized operations and everyone has access to the same information, which enhances our productivity.” Applied Epic, hosted in Applied Cloud, enables Burns Insurance to increase overall agency efficiency, reducing time and expenses spent operating on an on-premises system.
